Many thanks to everyone who supported our fundraising efforts at the Kelham Island and Portland Works events before Christmas.  The several hundred pounds raised from donations, sales and brick sponsorship rounded off a good year for us.

But there are big plans for the works in 2020, so we need that support to continue.

We have been promised grants for the restoration of the Randall Street and Hill Street elevations, which will transform the appearance of the building. But we need to make our own contribution.  Top of the list are 1000 special bricks, which cost £2.50 each.

Sponsoring a brick has been popular in 2019.  Your next chance is at the Sheffield Heritage Fair in the Millennium Galleries on 18 and 19 January, where you can also buy all sorts of Portland-related goodies.

2019 was a good year at Portland Works. We opened more workshops.  We repaired more of the building.  We welcomed more volunteers.  We raised more income from rents.  With your help we can make even more progress in 2020.
